Default Painting headlights

Do any of you guys know if you can paint the silver part in the 94 and up headlights black, or will it affect the beam

you can paint it, but as you said it will affect the beam, it needs the silver to make it project properly, but good luck and let us knwo how it works!

Painting the projector bezel black does NOT affect the beam. Actually it helps by reducing glare, which of course is alot more noticeable if you have HID's. You can also paint the high beam bezel (not the reflector, the bezel only).

yup gotta take off the bumper. it's the strip on top, a brace on each side on the top, and a screw in the fender well on each side.

just masked off the edge of the bezel w/ strips of tape, came out even better than I expected

preheat to 350, turn oven off, put headlight inside for 10 minutes then take out, use butter knife (preferably an old one) or similar object to separate the headlight halves.

the only thing I don't like about those lights is the stock lines going across them. I don't know what you can do about those, but putting that aside, great job

those lines are there to diffuse the light.
If you really must, some 1500 grit sandpaper, follloweed by 3000 grit, and an orbital polisher should smooth them out (unless the lines are deep)
