Default OBDII JDM p72 auto to manual ecu conversion possible?

I am wondering if it is possible to convert a OBDII jdm p72 ecu that is automatic to manual. Usually with the OBDI jdm ecu's you can just switch the resistance of the RP18 resistor from 2.4 to 1.4k ohms. This ecu does not have RP18 located anywhere on it. Just as a reminder, this ecu is the same size as a USDM ecu, but it has surface mounted chips, etc.

Does anyone know what needs to be changed, etc. for this to be changed into a manual ecu?

obdII ecu's are pretty much non tamperable, the cost of the equipment to modify would make switching to a obd1 ecu cheap .
