Default valve cover

97 accord LX 4cylc

besides removing the bolts that hold the cover to the head, is there anything else I need to remove?

nope, just the obvious bolts you can see. give it a little bump with your fist and you may need to do use a flat head screw driver to get a little bit of it loose, then it should come right off. and of course remove your spark plug wires.

NEVER use a screw drive to pry it off.
use a rubber coated hammer

you'll need new valve cover gasket if the one you have is aged
