WELCOME TO H-T!!!

i hate to be a "search *****" but seriously...
i went to search-- did an ARCHIVED search in INTEGRA- for 'ITR cams', and i got 140+ matches!!!

all the info you need is already here man

for your question-- go ahead and dump the cams in-- just dont go over the factory redline!!
im running ITR cams on factory GS-R springs/retainers-- just dont raise your rev limit

As mentioned, your engine will be safe as long as you stick with the stock revlimit. It would pay to save the extra for the R valvetrain for added safety and for getting the most out of the cams

when putting itr cams in the gsr
move the stock intake valve springs to the exhaust side
and buy some new itr intake valve springs

I ran the CTR cams for 6 mos prior to tuning. And then after it was tuned I still didn't upgrade the valvetrain. You don't have to unless you raise the stock 8100 rev limiter, which I didn't do.

Ill keep that in mind. Are the itr intake valve springs colored orange or blue?

Are itr retainers any different from the gsr?

I've had my CTR's in with stock valvetrain fo about 1.5 years with no problems. I have a type R valvetrain I'm planning to install soon, the springs have yellow on them.

Yellow, All b-series retainer are the same.

Upgrading to Titanium retainers for ANY SETUP running on the street is useless, even if you are runnning big cams.

</TD></TR></TABLE>

I JUST purchased a full set of itr valve springs are retainers off H-T (still in the mail), and was just curious about the retainer comment. Will stock b-series retainers be okay with itr cams and valve springs if revving to 8500 rpms??? or should the valves get changed also........
