Default did i install the S2 manifold wrong, look at pic

I have an extra sensor that goes nowhere (circled to the right)
I ran that vacume line i circled down to that canister and plugged it in with one of the one way valves, is that correct? and i have one coolant line that comes from the head (under the vtec solenoid) that i tapped off. my idle is all f'd up and i cant figure it out. i want to make sure i didnt do something obvious wrong first. thanks
p.s. its a 2000 motor, if you need any closer pics or other info let me know.

what are the wire colors for that extra harness

you will have an extra connector b/c you no longer use the IAB.

the extra plug you have you are supposed to have, it used to control the secondary runner.

and yes you did right connecting to pipe up to the pcv valve.

but i don't understand why you blocked off a water pipe

maybe you switched the secondary runner and IAT? swap the two in your pic, and see if that helps.

Also an ECU code will tell you what you forgot to do, and work wonders for troubleshooting

Still no luck, i tried cleaning the IACV valve (thats the one that the hose runs to that i circled right? cause i'm not sure) that didnt help though, the extra harness is different so it wont plug in, if i unplug the one thats on though it doesnt seem to change anything so maybe thats bad? i dont see any fuel leaks and both gaskets are new. any other ideas?

what coolant line did you tap off?

you might not be gettin coolant to your IAC under the throttle body cuzing the idle to rise from 700 to 1500 until the motor is at normal operating temp

Ive known people to forget to remount the EVAP sensor. you need to zip tie to the firewall and hook it up to the vacuum tap on the back driver side of the manifold

uumm on my 96 gsr there was a thing on the top of the stock intake manifold that had 2 lines going to it. One from the IM to the soleniod, then the other from the solenoid to the charcol canaster, with it being obd2 i'm not sure but i had the motor in an obd1 car and i just left it unpluged

Yup.

Even tho you have a 2000MY GS-R, that charcoal canister is just like the OBD-1 canister. That top nipple goes to the input on the EVAP purge solenoid.

I don't see how you could have an unallocated coolant line unless you're running an AN-R or Hondata IM race gasket (where the nipple on the IM is blocked).

Stock, there are two parallel coolant paths:

1.) main water pipe -> IACV -> throttle body -> intake manifold
2.) main water pipe -> thermostat housing -> PCV vent heater -> upper radiator hose housing

If you do have a race gasket, you either have to plug one of the coolant inputs or tee it in with the other coolant path.

Fly me down to Clearwater and I'll have it fixed in two shakes of a lamb's tail. I haven't been down there in ages since we moved from there in '92. We used to lift at that Gold's gym on US19 just south(?) of Clearwater mall on whatever that other main road is.

Where's the PCV valve in all of this? It's supposed to go to the 10mm (3/8") nipple on the plenum on the front of the manifold.

Is that what you did when you said, "I ran that vacume line i circled down to that canister."

wow, thanks for all the input. well its idleing normally now, i bled the coolant system and tightened the idle screw all the way in and it corrected itself. i'm going to need to figure out were if f'd up on the coolant lines cause i'm running a stock gasket. everythings connected though and i cant see anywhere that i could plug that in. i think that i forgot to take the evap solenoid off my other manifold, what effect is that going to have??? Small world though, yeah that golds gym is still there, its on Mcmullen booth rd, i live 2 minutes from there right across from the clearwater mall.
