B series in EF???
I am thinking about buying a EF for a project car, but I would like to put in a b series motor. Now every mounting kit that I have seen has made the motor realy forward in the engine bay. I was wondering what mounts you could use other than place racing...Also if it is possible that you can post pics of ur b series motors in ur ef would be realy appreciative....thanks
HCP is less expensive, and fits the motor closer to the fire wall( less than 2 inches ).
You can look on their site for pics using their kit. It's at http://www.hcpengineering.com
I got my kit for less than the hasport, and it came with an adjustible shift linkage.

get the hasport kit. in my crix the kit made the motor sit even in the compartment.but i just shakes at idle .but thats normal becaue they are urethane mounts get the hasports there great
I will agree. The HAsport kit is really nice. So is the HCP kit. But the Hasport kit with the linkage is around 200 more than the HCP kit. reason being....well Hasport is Aluminum, and well...it is hasport. I sell the HCP kits exclusively. I also only use the HCP when doing swaps. I also have the HCP kit on my car. I wouldn't think of 500whp with aluminum mounts. HCP kit sits the motor in there straight and does put it a little closer to the firewall. Still enough clearance for a B18C swap with a Jackson supercharger, as I used to have in my EF. Most of the time they go for 410 +shipping, but if you can get some peeps together...3-5 = 400, but more than that....we will have to see how many.

I would go HCP b/c my friend has it, great kit, its 4 mounts instead of the usual 3 mount kits, and it comes with adjustable linkage and i belive i have seen them going for about 400 buks, great buy....

I have the HCP kit and it hold up nice, I like the way the shifter feels, good chuncky feeling shifts. Yes the HAsport is more expensive, but for what. These mount are in a friends car and he has a supercharged b16a( don't ask me how he got it in there ) and it is still ever so stable. I haven't had any experience with the other kits but if your going for quality and a good price for all part , try HCP.
check them all out, and decide for youself!
I chose HCP for the cost, and I liked the idea of a fourth mount.
I have never heard any bad comments about the Hasport kits though.
I don't know anyone with, or have not heard much about the Place mounts.
Just look at their pages, and see which look best to you. http://www.hcpengineering.com

also Place Racing. They mount the pretty much the same as HCP mounts. HAsport from what i've seen tends to position closer to the firewall....Wish I had some HAsport mounts b/c i'd like the extra room up front for my turbo..
even with my hasports the front is still kinda cramped...i guess that's just the way the b16 is...but believe me, they hold the torque of a b16 (i know there isn't much there anyway) pretty good for everyday applications
HASport all the way.....
Place Racing mount kits suck, honestly. The *NEW* HCP kit is decent... but it hasn't been out THAT long... so I went with the tried and trusted Hasport kit...

So I'm not sure how reliable it is...but so far it's been holding very well.
