Best Suspension Set up for Closest to Stock Ride Quality?
Looking for a suspension set up that is really smooth and closest to feeling like stock ride quality without actually using the stock shocks/springs. Currently Im thinking some illuminas with some neuspeed sports or some eibachs. If you guys have any better idea for a smoother ride with a 1.5 inch drop please let me know... my left shock is blown and plan on getting new ones within the next week or so. Dont tell me to do a search on the forums because I could not find this topic anywhere.
did you search in the ITR forum and also click on the "archive" section when you do the search. not tryin to be a dick , just giving you some ideas
i can sell you the apex ws coilovers. Its in my signature. The ride is like stock, and springs are 30 percent stiffer. You can find more info at the apex site. And if you end up purchasing from me, you would need to get the itr rear lower control arms.
i have heard that H&R make really soft springs, but still sporty. i would go some of those and some adjustable shocks... koni yellows are good ones.

How much of a drop did you have on them?? They're only warrantied to a 1.5" drop and not designed for large drops.

I have the Eibach Pro-kit and Tokico HP shocks on both my tegs and the ride is sporty but not uncomfortable. Very close to stock with a great look.

Eibach Pro-kit with tokico blues. Had them on my 94 white teg that was used just for relaxing (not raced out). Reduced fender gap, reduced body roll, and kept comfortable ride quality (as per my girl's opinion). I've sinced sold that teg, but it's been three years and the suspension has not had any problems. I normally wouldn't recommend tokico blues but for this application they were just right and didn't cost much. This setup cost me $450 installed.
well..i would say...pro-kit and tokico blues...i would say that's the closest to stock feel and have some sporty feel to it...too meh it's not enough drop tho...it still leave a nasty wheel gap in the front....i heard GC are custom spring rate...so you can order some GC and custom ur own spring rate...get some koni yellow to match up with any springs...GREAT SHOCKS....plus the porch on yellows are adjustable...you can probably help out hte wheel gap...with prokit... ITR sway bar will help performance alot too..highly recommend it
If you're looking for a stock "ride" but a good "look" i suggest the Tanabe dressup springs, the rate isn't increased very much to allow for a smooth ride, but the ride height is lowered for a cool look.

well you should narrow it down then. The suggestions made above (including my own) are good ones, but if you are more specific with the amount of money you want to spend, as well as preference for coilovers or springs, etc.......
Eibach pro-kit is your best bet for quality and oem like ride, the drop is 1.0/1.4 inch and if you want to spend more money you can buy an adjustable shock to make it stiffer or softer. By your posts it seems your not really looking for a performance driving setup so you might save a few bucks by going with the tokico blues as your shock.......it's practically an oem shock.
