I was driving and i noticed that my car felt like it had a flat tire. Got out checked all the tires no flat thought maybe the road. Kept driving and still felt it. It feels like it is in the front some where but i am not sure what might cause that. I have a 96 gsr and ideas??

it has that thump thump feeling and i can really feel it through my streering wheel. Shakes quite a bit at around 70mph or so. I went in reverse the other day and had to turn my wheel as far as it would go to get out and i really felt it then but only when i had it turned one way and not the other.

well like 2 weeks ago, after i had gotten new tires mounted/balanced on my rims...i was driving back to my college, and i swore i had a flat tire, cause thats what it felt like, but i got out and checked, and everything was fine...about 5 minutes later, the sidewall of the tire shredded and the tire flew off my rim, damaging the side of my car, and then i lost control for a second, and bounced off a cement divider.....

get that checked out as soon as you can, if that came off one of my front rims i woulda been fucked hardcore, i was in some pretty heavy fastmoving traffic..

I had a similar problem before. One of my c/v joints was seized. Wheel hop is usually the culprit. Anyway it is an easy fix.

The easiest way to determine if it is a seized axle is to pop the hood. Have a friend walk along side (being careful not to run over your friend) the car while slowly rolling forward watching for movement from the engine and trannnie.

Are any parts of your tires worn down to the cord?

You can go back to where your tires were mounted and balanced and most likely they will rebalance for free. Thats the first thing to check other than uneven wear.

nope still dont know what it is and to answer some of the questions yes my car is lowered on H&R race springs and does have some what of a camber issue but has been lowered for nearly 2 and a half years and this problem just started happening. I was now thinking either tire wear because of the camber or the cv joint. If cv joint how do i replace that?

It is best to just replace the whole axle. I had a cv seize up on me and when I took it apart it had no damage but opted to replace it anyway.

Sounds like a tyre more than shocks, a bad shock on one side will cause the car to sort of wander a bit on the road but shouldnt give the feeling of a flat/soft tire. take all the tires of 9one by one) and inspect each inside wall and outside and along the rolling radius and look for marks/bumps/bulges. My g/f rang me last year one day saying her car was driving funny, i took it out for a drive that evening and felt a strange feeling but couldnt figure out what it was only that it was coming from the rear, so i pulled both rears off and discovered that the rubber on the rolling part had actaully come away from the canvas underneath (it wasnt ripped, but sort of bulging in one place) I put the spare on and problem was solved. If you cant see any problem with any of your tires, then get a loan of a set of good rims and tires from a friend and see if the same happens with them on, if it does then you'll have to look at suspension/brakes etc

replace ASAP... you dont want that to blow open on the freeway....I wouldnt even drive it, unless it was at a slow speed to a tire shop.

Sounds like you need some tokico or KYB gas struts. I had KYBs on my old car when I lowered it and the ride was as good as stock. It was a 93 Geo Prizm (same thing as Toyota Corolla) with KYB gas struts, Eibach Sportlines and 17x7.5 wheels with Dunlop SP Sport tires 205 40 ZR17.
