just reseted my ecu... weird idle now. help
well i was reading that *reset ecu* forum and i read the instructions on how to do it, which was:
run car until it reaches normal temp, park car, pull back up fuse and ecu fuse under the hood, let car sit for 10-15 mins (which i did), put fuses back in, turn on car and let it run for 10-15 mins w/o touching the gas or any electronics do draw power.. then drive around and see if u feel a difference or not(i have i/e)
be4 my car used to idle at 500rpms.. lets say when i drive, then put it in neutural, it would stay at 500, smooth idle.. now its up to 1250 exactly.. but when i drive it around for a little bit longer, it goes back down to 400-500 rpms.. and i did the resetting ecu twice because it was flipping out on the high idle..
anyone know why it did this high idle now and didnt do it be4 the ecu reset?

so drive car, park it, take out fuses, let sit, put fuses back in, start car w/ no gas pressed, turn car off, turn back on, then drive around?
but see heres the weird thing... my car when i drove it around the first time be4 i did the resetting, was idleing at 500 rpms.. then i let the car sit for 10 mins w/ the fuses out, put them back in, turn the car on, now it idles at 1250 or so.. so if the car was still very warm, why did the rpms change so much?

yes, you have to shut the car off after the calibration period for the ECU to know it ended ... otherwise your slamming the gas while its still trying to calibrate..
