GSR Skunk 2 IM owners
can i just use the gsr throttle cable on the ITR throttle cable bracket on the skunk2 IM? or is it a MUST to go buy a type R throttle cable too? i did a search and it said to buy a new cable...but im currently poor at the moment and the IM is just sitting in my room. just wondering if i can get by with just bolting it up for now

First off I have a '93 hatch.....but I'm using the stock GSR throttle cable bracket and throttle cable on the Skunk2 mani and it fits under the hood just fine.

Thats the stock GSR bracket and the stock GSR cable, no problems what so ever.
Mine bolted up without any real modifications, I had to extend some wires in the back, but overall it wasn't a bad install, pretty much pulling sensors off the old mainfold and bolting them to the new....try and round up some instructions from Skunk2, they were actually pretty useful.

I was using the Civic throttle cable and GS-R bracket/TB and I had a problem with the cable hitting the underside of the hood. A few days later the cable came off of the TB pulley while I was leaving a toll plaza... not fun at all.
At any rate, I installed an LS TB pulley and an ITR cable and bracket and it has not given me a problem since.
