Default Which amp is suitable for this sub?

I'm finally thinking of getting a little bass for my car. I'm looking at a drive with the following spec:

-Recommended Amplifier Power: 100-400 Watts.
-Continuous RMS Power Rating: 400 Watts.
-Depth: 6 1/2 inches (7 1/2 inches is needed for mounting because the vented back plate requires "breathing room").
-Recommended Sealed Box Dimensions: .5 to 1.6 cu.ft.. The lower the size of the box, the greater amplification needed. For the flattest frequency response in car applications, do not use a ported box design.
-Impedance: 4 Ohms.
-Ship-weight: 17 lbs.

Which amp is the best value for the money? I want something that's decent in performance and most importantly, something that is reliable and solid.

Thanks.

Jay Kim

Boston Acoustic Amps are the greatest things out there right now. I have two running my system right now and it exceeded my expectations. I've owned Phoenix Gold amps, Coustic, Pioneer, and final picked up my boston amps. I would say look into those. They have a bunch of different sized 2 channel amps available.

if you want reliabilty, durability, and it's tried and true...get an alpine. don't skimp on the money if you want good sound.

It's from Hsu Research and their only car subwoofer, ASW1203.

I'll be using sealed enclosure, probably Q-logic with 1.25 cu.ft.

This is the link:
