Damn, I'm so pissed I'm fuming. Anyhow, heres the story...I just got the car back from the mechanic for some tranny problems (Cracked housing). The car was shifting fine for about 2 hours of driving till I almost reached home and BAM, I lost ALL gears and for some odd reason the car was stalling in neutral. I managed to force it into 1st, tried to get it doing, but for some reason, the car wouldnt budge (like when you leave the ebrake on and try to move). Anyone have any ideas on what the hell is wrong? I'm desperate
TIA.

You sure your timing belt didn't get any undue stress on while the tranny was getting repaired? If it is stalling in neutral, it sounds like your timing. That could account for your power loss too. I'm no mechanic, but that is my best guess. How did you crack your housing?

Hmm, it could be the timing belt, I'll haveto confirm with the mechanic later tonite. Would this also account for the car not moving when its in gear? About the tranny housing...it was a freak accident I guess, a chunk of something somehow managed to clip the bottom of the front lip and it continued to smack into the tranny housing. Freak accident I guess...maybe someone is trying to tell me not to drive anymore integras.
More input would be appreciated! TIA!

K, got a hold of the mechanic, he said its probably the clutch
More money out of my pocket...*sigh*. Thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it greatly.

could be one of the clutch cylinders.. if your slave cylinder has air in it, or just plain busted that would cause that problem when stalling in neutral

[QUOTE]I doubt its the timing belt, you don't even touch the t-belt when you do the tranny.
Most likely something failed with the clutch or pressure plate which would explain it not shifting or moving or stalling in neutral.

Is it your mechanic's fault???? maybe??? could you blame him and have him pick up part of the cost? just an idea
