Car wont move when in gear
Car: 92 eg hatch (DX, AUTOmatic)
Heres the problem, i was driving on the highway and the car just slowed down and then wouldn't go anywhere...brought it home, took a look at it. The car starts fine, ideals fine but when in reverse, the car wont move, it starts to die out (bogs alot)...when in drive i give it gas, it bogs for afew seconds then very very slowly moves...checked drive shafts, nothing, checked the dizzy, which is fine, all the brakes are fine, tune up done in october, so the next thing would be the tranny. Asked afew mechanics, 2 of them told me that it was the tranny. So i swapped the tranny, and changed the torque converter and guess what, same ****. Then maybe thought the cat was fucked, took that off and it did nothing. The last thing i did was made sure tranny fluid was topped off and it was. WHAT THE HELL DO I DO NEXT?...need some serious help. this ******* car is killing me

Damn, that is a lot of labor put into that problem. I would be pissed too..
Try a few things:
Does the car move back n forth with it in neutral?
Does the car move at all with the tranny in 3, 2, or 1?
It's hard to distinguish the problem when not there, but it almost sounds like the car doesn't want to go anywhere and it bogs down cuz it's in gear.
Check those 2 things for me, then keep us updated. I'll keep an eye out.

this guy i knew had a 240 that the same thing happened to but he misshifted...after that it wouldnt move and we took of the tranny and all that was left was dust...all the material on the clutch was completely gone.

What type of tranny fluid are you using? I saw in another site the Honda trannys will some times slip with regular Dex 3 and needs a "friction modifier" or "Honda" tranny fluid from the dealer witch has the friction modifier in it already. Let me know Im having the same problem but mine slips after engine reaches FULL operating temperature.
