Default Gettin a Boost b0x.

Flying up friday to Massachusetts to grab me some square turbo sweetness. Gonna drive it stock for a while and make it nice, then boost it till it blows up, then don't be surprised if a V8 finds its way in and it becomes a GRM project car.

Also, check out the soon-to-be-released May GRM, the details of my TEIN Type RE install are detailed therein.

The R and the 745 T/ic... They'll be fine stablemates...

Actually Will, i think it's an M47, the push-button OD had failed at like 120k and he had his friendly volvo tech replace it with "a 5-speed from a 240". But yeah, it's got 3 pedals, that was one of my requirements (and why i'm taking the trouble to fly to freakin Massachusetts from Florida for it)

m47 =
m46 = more better IMO....

the overdrive suxzors.... but I have had luck with mine.

I suggest a Mustang T5 tranny swap.

Looks good no matter.... a stick 74x series turblow is almost as rare as a 242 turblow w/factory intercooler.

yeah, odds are good for a T5 tranny somdeay, mated to a 5.0 or something. we'll see, first order of business is i hope it gets me back to Fla.

Then finding a really loud blow-off valve.

Nyce find! I will find an old-skool turbo brick one of these days, to go along with my pair of B23's. And if you want to sell those wheels, gimme a holler

In the meantime, welcome to the club

ps - http://www.vcoa.org . Your local stealership should give you a discount on parts, which will offset your annual dues

There used to be a guy up here in MA that did the timing for the SCCA autocross events that had a 240 wagon, robins egg blue, go-kart in the back, and a 5.0. That car was quick.

Crank up the boost, get a loud BOV and have some fun.

Congrats on the buy. If you need any help getting from the airport to the car or finding some dinner let me know. I would be happy to help a fellow R owner out.

Thanks for the help offer, I think i've got everything covered, and if something breaks en route, between the GRM message board people and other hype-R owners, I think i'll have help within 20 miles of just about anywhere.

If you see a grey b00stbox on the road with a GRM sticker in the back window on 95 South this weekend, flash me a gang symbol or something.
