B16A2 head..what year is it?
it could be a JDM civic SiR or a newer civic Si along with the Del Sols. Its gunna be hard to find out the year since it can come from three different cars and one is a JDM and two are USDM. I guess go by the sensors and ecu.. you can narrow it down to which years that way.
The B16A2 head is the same as all other B16A heads. The B16A2 is the engine classification for the obd-2 B16A's here in the states on the '96-'97 Honda del Sol and the '99-'00 Honda Civic Si. To find out the year of the head, look at the front side of it (exhaust manifold side). You will see four circles. On the circle closest to where the distributor is, you will find a 2 digit number seperated by a line that cuts the circle in half. That will tell you the year of the head.
Hope that helps.

The JDM B16a2 head is no tthe same as the USDM one however....it has 10 more HP. The bigger throttlebody and better intake flow into the engine, along with SLIGHT internal changes make that 10hp difference.
I see..thanks for the replies, so will it bolt up to my '95 GSR block w/o modification? Will the wiring plug right in to my stock GSR harness..what about the distributor? Thanks.

actually its the raised compression, exhaust manifold, and ecu tuning that causes the 10hp increase.

Kiss my *** man, measure the Throttlebody, then tell me who is a know it all. "Slight internal differences" = Raised Comression. I didn't mention the ECU, sue me. Kiss my *** man, if you wanna flame go right the hell ahead.... bu tinstead of siding up with you rlittle buddis and following, why don't you speak up first and prove me wrong?
Know it all? No. Know more than you? It's possible. Get over yourself dude....
People like you are why I have stayed away from here and Hybrid Honda. I'd rather converse with people on PH and SHO and CRXpower that may not know as much ****, but at least they aren't ****** about it...
Wow, 8XX posts. That is about 1/6th the amount of posts I have to my credit on 3 sites..... posts #s aren't everything.... but just because I am a newbie here, doesn't mean I don't know some ****.
