all i coudl think for the whistling is the normal sound all integras make through the intake....

trust me you would know if your car was running on three cylinders thats not the problem

i may be wrong, but many people who own R's can atest to 'wierd' idling problems.

usually when the car is cold, idle is slightly above 1000rpm and when it is warmed up, say after a highway run, the idle could be anywhere from 500 to 1000 rpms as well.

my R has a low idle occasionally and my car is in perfect mechanical condintion (IMO). nothing is wrong with my engine or tranny, thats for sure

vacuum leak. check all the hoses leading to/from the intake manifold.
