Why did the 2nd and 3rd runs drop so much? Heat?

stock i/c i guess. i thought only losing 8hp peak was pretty sweet. i have seen cars lose 20-30-40whp on consecutive runs. tq takes a pretty big hit, but overall heatsoak wasn't much of an issue thanks to the weather.

Great torque! What'd you use to tune? Not bad for 19psi

Anyone ever get one of the newer Golfs or Jetta 1.8T's running on a Greddy E-manage?

Just curious cause I would like to try getting an E-manage to work on my bosses Jetta.

i don't think anyone has got it to work. there are a few programs coming out soon that should blow the tuning side of the 18ts wide open.

giac, revo, and apr are coming out with programmable ecu's. pretty exciting stuff.

there are people who have pushed 400whp+ for long periods of time, i don't think it's really set in stone yet. tuning is still difficult for high hp applications, but hopefully the companies mentioned will bring their end-user tuning applications to market soon. then we will really see what they can do.

wow! looks like your getting really good power from your mods.

I first had a corrado before my hatchback, and often thought about swapping in the 1.8t. But it was way beyound my own ability as a mechanic...... How do the GTI's fair with the same mods? (they have a bit of a weight advantage don' they?)

Nice #'s (especialy the torque). Looks like you pretty much maxed out the stock turbo. Time for a upgrade

Ha......Checkout what happens when you throw a VR6 in a New Beetle, add a T64, some pump gas, 15psi, Tec3 and take it up to 6200rpm with NO TUNING just a base map.

Do not mention the A/F below, the sensor crapped out, A/F was 12-12.2:1

Best part I still have 13psi and 1500rpm to play with........
