Motors...the Choices
alrite..i currently own a 1993 honda del sol si and im running a d16 sohc vtec motor..a measly 135 horse with an intake...im planning on doing a swap..what would be better..an Integra Ls motor...than possible turbo it or frankenstine it with a gsr head..or get a B16a2 SIR motor from japan and than tweak it out..the ls would save money but i dont know what would run faster..let me know thanks guys!
haha no. it comes with 125 crank hp. drivetrain loss is typically 15-20% so you're making about 95-100hp at the wheels - that's what matters. nobody cares about crank hp. and an intake will give you about 3hp at the wheels, so you're probably around 98-103.
search this forums and the hybrid forums archives for b16a2, b18b, b18c1, b18c5, h22, engine swap, swap, turbo etc etc etc. do your homework.

heh heh *[smacks forehead]* Anyway, IMO the 'ol ls turbo would be better in the long run, that is if your lookin for something reliable. (I THINK) if you dont do the ls/vtec right, the compression will mess the head up after a while...

A turbo d16 will smoke the **** out of an all motor ls or a b16 motor.
