ok well thank you...will someone explain how the shifter messes with the synchros? doesnt it just move the shifter's fulcrum point?
I have a skunk2 shortshifter on my GSR.
my oem **** fits, and my pseudo ITR **** fits well too.
ruins syncros eh?
not yet for me....
short throw = heaven. really snaps right into gear, I love it.

The short shifter can't help but affect your syncros... with the same movement of your shift **** the syncro moves further, hence the shorter throw necessary to move the syncro through its full range.. problem is that the syncro doesn't actually move further ( of course ) it moves faster.. not quite but sortta like banging off EVERY shift... If you keep trying to beat your syncro's to the gears, sooner or later you will... how long they last is directly related to their pre-existing wear and how often you shift fast in normal driving... everybody shifts fast when they need to, but if you can shift calmly most of the time you should get normal (ish) wear..
Gotta admit a shorter shift sounds good though.. B&M have two shifters... near as I can tell just the material is different between them..
