Default brake light problem

i got a 00 civic si and my dash brake light stays on. It gets brighter when i pull up on the e-brake. I checked the fluid, and it was maybe a little low, so I filled it up. The light is still on though. what can my problem be? do i need to reset the ecu?

the ebrake light? if that is what you are talking about, follow the ebrake wire through the back of the car, and see if it may be engaged anywhere. also find out where the switch to turn on the light is, and check that

swap the cap with another one the floats DO fail..... it has nothing to do with the parking brake because the light gets brighter when u pull the lever up
