Default Going Back To N/A Safe After Turbo???

My 95' Gsr is currently turbocharged and I'm planning on returning my car back to stock. I read somewhere that people have blown their motors after returning back to N/A after turbocharging. What can be the cause of this? How do i return it back to stock safely?

Doesnt sound like it makes much sence to me. Just put all your stock stuff back on. I am pretty sure a motor has never blown from being too rich.

my friend has been running of boost for well over two years now on his '99 Si....all he has left on the car is the Walboro 255 and FPR. He's had no problems with the motor being stock.

It is most definately unsafe for your wallet. You have been bitten, you will want to do it again!

Yeah, doesnt sound logical, but i've read somewhere on ht that after they returned to stock, they blew their motors. I'm returning back to stock because I'm selling my car.. Thanks for the replies

If your motor is worn from turbo its only a matter of time before it lets go whether you are NA or turbo. If you took care of it while it was turbo it will probably last a long long time NA.

My car was boost for about 3 1/2 months, rarely driven hard. Car was tuned conservatively with hondata.

What do you mean it was horrible? Just the fact that you were n/a again or was it not running correctly?

Yeah.. MR2s are dope, especially with a jdm 3s-gte . I love my gsr but due to the fact that i'm getting raped on insurance (4k a year, full coverage, with state farm under my dads name with a clean record) and the high theft rate of integras, i feel it is better off if i sell the dc2 and start a new project..

Was this MR2 an N/A to start with? I'm just wondering becuase I've heard it is easier to swap in the 3.0 V6 from and earlier lexus than the 3S-GTE.
