Default D series tranny removal

I can't find my haynes manual and I'm pissed about it... ANYWAY...

I am trying to take the tranny off of the engine I have in my garage. I have taken off about 6 bolts so far, 3 go from the tranny and thread into the block (17 mm bolts) one threads into the tranny (also a 17 mm) and two that are on the bottom (15 mm they look like supports).

I can't seem to get the tranny to budge. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

since you've lost your haynes manual, go to http://www.helminc.com - buy one, it will be $70 very very well spent. i'm reading mine cover to cover right now

Make sure you remove the starter bolts and the bolts holding the black metal flywheel cover. Should be 2 10mm and 2 12mm.

Thanks for the link to the H-T thread. I have a chiltons manual (Not quite as good as haynes, but hey it works), but we just moved and my wife prolly misplaced it on purpose know what I mean. I was just too lazy to dig through all of the boxes.. Thanks for all of the speedy replies.

Thanks for all of the help, I got it off today after I removed the starter and the inspection plate. Then I added a little of the wiggle, that worked... Now on to the clutch and flywheel... Anyone know the size of the bolts there, they look like 12 pt sockets am I right?
