Default 3" inch piping on jdm h22

do any of you guys think that having a 3" custom pipe catback on an jdm h22 a bad idea? Do u think its better to get 2.5" because of the ground clearence and the fact that i think i'm losing some torque. I'm not boosting! but just tuning my h22 with a safc

what do u think? Will effect my performance if i go 3" rather than 2.5"

3" is not going to benefit you at all on a stock NA motor. It will actually give you less backpressure. Stay with 2.5", that's all you need.

If you have the choice between 2.25 and 2.5 piping, i'd go w/ the 2.25 piping.

2.25" is good for a well-modded H22. If you get serious, 2.5" may be better

less back pressure would be a good thing. I think you mean exhaust velocity.

Would you care to explain your reasoning on this?

Less backpressure is good for turbocharged motors... not for bone stock NA motors.

Backpressure is never good. Essentially your goal is to have no backpressure but generally you will always have a little that you can't get rid of. Here is a thread on it and there are tons of threads about it.
