B16A1 Head Gasket Dilema
I am getting a B16A for my '90 Civic STD. Now, I know I need mounts, shifter linkage, and other stuff. Now, I need to know, the parts I am going to replace are Spark Plugs/Wires, Timing Belt, Water Pump, Alternator Belt, and should I replace the head gasket? What would be a good reason to replace the head gasket? The shop did a compression test on the engine, and it went well, so why should I replace the HG?
The only reason to replace the headgasket would be if you pulled the head to have it refreshed, but since you haven't taken it off and your compression test was good you will be fine.
