Installing muffler
So i checked out some other threads that were posted about installing a new muffler, basically people said all you need is a wrench and some WD-40. I went to go check out the OEM muffler on my 99 Accord Sedan LX this morning and it looks like it is welded... Am I gonna need more than a wrench and WD-40? Anyone have pics of a muffler install? Should this be professionally done? The Magnaflow muffler i got is just a straight muffler, straight inlet and tip and it visually doesn't look like it would match up correctly with a cuved pipe where the straight inlet goes.
ur gonna wanna take it to a muffler shop......thats ur best bet....its always best to just do it right the first time
EDIT: BTW, they were talking about installing cat-back systems....which include new piping and muffler.....check the link in my sig for all the answers to your exhaust queres

it will be much easier on a lift, and it ususally takes a torch to get the old exhaust off

Any So Cal people have any good places they know of for a quality job for ideal price? I called one place who estimated around $125, but doesn't include the possible parts it might need.
that seems a bit high.....u can usually get custom cat-backs made at shops for $300ish (for non-stainless steel).....so unless they need to use a flex pipe to connect it right, then it shouldnt cost that much IMO

those guys can get it up and out in like 30-40 minutes if its only a rear muffler install, they just cut and reweld usually and youre set to go...
