Default 96LS in 97 EK (dizzy question)

Does anybody know how I can tell if I have the right distributor? I'm using my stock harness and I had to buy a distributor (motor didn't come with one). Does the TD# determine what motor it's for? The one I got is a TD74U.

The plugs don't match, not even with the stock LS harness, and the dizzy has 9 wires, both harness plugs only have 8.

I have a 96 integra distributor on mine, and it plugs in to the 97 dx harness, it fires up, but... runs like crap.... i dunno if it's the distributor or not though, but it plugs in

does anybody have a pic of a 96 dizzy plug? The one I was sent was supposed to be from a 99 ls. Are the plugs different somehow?

Can I just change the plugs somehow? I don't want to have to send it back to the guy.

what you have 99-01 LS/B20 dizzy which lacks the RPM pick up. you can use it but unless you get rpm pickup thru another way. you will not show RPM on the cluster.

http://partsadventure.com/distributors.htm

Looks like you need a TD85U, from this list.

I don't see TD74U listed though, so this list is apparently incomplete.
