d16a6 cam compataible with d15b7 head?
I know the stock cams are interchangable but I was wondering if I could get an aftermarket cam for an a6 and use it in my b7. Aftermarket valve train components are rare for the b7 as you might imagine. Thanks,
Matt

from what i have been reading is that the cams are interchangable. you just need to get an adjustable cam gear to compensate for the 1/2 tooth differance from the A6 cam to the B7 cam. But with an aftermarket camshaft you should get the gear also so timing can be dialed in.

what happens if i dont use an adjustable cam gear? what if i use the stock b7 cam gear?
Do i have to change my valve lash? if so what are the settings?

Works just fine, just swap the b7 out for the a6 do a valve adjustment put an adjustable cam gear on set it half tooth advanced and your set. Stock valve train will be fine...its not that aggressive. I did this setup myself and it gave my d15 a bit more pep
