Default more space h22a or b16c1?

Okay I used the search function but I cant find anything or maybe its that there are so much crap that I cant find what im looking for in the 15 page topics.

Ive hated Hondas since back in the day, been more of a drifting hachi guy ever since 93 before it became a fad here but anyways ive recently became hooked on getting a 94 civic HB and droping in a H22 or B16c1.

I want to do the H22a swap but i was wondering if it would make working on the motor any harder as in routine service work on it since the H22 is bigger I know not by much, but still is there any down sides as far as cramped working space compared to doing a B16c1 motor?

I hope this is a different question that hasn't been asked before if not sorry u can flame me

Please keep in mind I know nothing about Hondas but im learning

Thanks

I was gonna say... I was like WHAT!!!? I onno man, I'd stick with a b16a (JDM Si-R II) 168 HP, and I forget what the torque is, its my dream motor.

I have done 2 H swaps into 92-95 civic and there has been no problem with any work i have had to do. Some places are a little squeeze to get to but nothing bad. Routine work is easily done.

I say the H22 is kinda heavy for handling purposes, but you can manage. It tends to understeer way more than the B series. Something you might want to consider.

Oops don't mean to jack your thread.

This is very true. One of the ones i did, we totally gutted, including cutting metal. We were going at a decent speed up a curved on ramp, and the back end just decided to whip out and we were facing the wrong way. You would be fine if you left the interior in it tho.

Oops don't mean to jack your thread.</TD></TR></TABLE>no Understeer here , you will need substantially stiffer springs however if you would like it to handle near a b-series civic. You'll never get it to handle as well due to the laws of physics, but it can get damn close........................John
