Default Good Places to get work done in North Carolina?

As the title says above...I can't seem to find any reputable shops around the Winston-Salem / Greensboro area. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that does quality work in NC?

Is there no one on these boards that has any clue about a decent shop in NC? Are we that far away from everything?

Depending on what you want done, I'll do it. There are very few shops in NC worth a half a **** (with P1 the only one I know of being worth anything).

I work at japan direct. We dont work on cars here but we sell quite a few engines and trans to monster motorsports in winston! And then there is always phantasm in raleigh. I have not had my car worked on by either one just throwing out names.

Ahh...Japan direct! Yeah, I was just over there a couple of weeks ago with Mike (the guy who bought the JDM ITR front clip). Very cool place. Phantasm is overpriced IMHO and I have never heard of the other place.

well, I drive by Monster Motorsports everyday. I don't really know anything about them. My biggest fear is leaving my car with some "fly-by-night" tuners that really don't understand what they're doing. I'm only looking for someone/someplace that can do some work that I don't feel comfortable doing myself. I'm not that expirienced when it comes to dealing with engine work so I don't really know how much I can do myself.

Honestly, if you have questions, search on here, and if you can't find what you need ask. If you aern't planning to tear your motor down and rebuild it you can do damn near anything on these cars with a very limited selection of tools.

Oh trust me, I've learned alot from this site. I may only have 40 posts or so, but it's because most of my questions have been answered. I'm not planning on breaking into the block, but I have thought about attempting to install a cam myself. It's just I was wondering if there were any shops out there that could do something like getting into the block if I wanted to later on.

http://www.hondaraceengines.com (RLZ Engineering) BRAD Z is the man (MAX_CFM on HT)...check out this old vid of his full interior all motor Si that runs in the 12's http://www.videobookmark.net/H...m.mpg (LS vtec - stock sleeves....mostly head work, custom cams, etc...)

his shop is running specials on rebuilding blocks - not too mention his P&P work is unbelievable

from what I have heard & read (nothing but good) thats the place to go (hell I have put alot of thought into having him do work for me & I am in upstate NY )
