Spring Suggestions.
Hi guys.
I been searching the archives for the past month, can't really find something conclusive.
I have a EG sedan with current setup: H&R Sport Springs (meant for 92-95 Civic DX,LX) and KYB AGX's. The problem I have is that it seems to 'bottom' out (not technically) but the especially the front end is a bit soft I feel. I like the current drop.
I think because the springs were meant for a D15 and lighter chassis, with all the upgrades I have, I think I should bump the spring rate.
I am looking into some springs, I thought about using Integra springs, if they were a higher rate, but lower more or less according to which one. I tried calling H&R and they weren't too helpful.
Some I have looked into were the Tein S-tech's (but I think they are rated very soft) The Eibach sport lines seem like a good fit, but not sure if I should get the Integra application.
I was going to go for a full Tein SS kit, but I don't think I'd really need it if I don't really track the car.
Any input would be appreciated
TIA!

As far as I know, springs arn't trim specific (i.e made differently for the ex/si vs the lx/dx.)
If your thinking the ex weghs more then the dx, think again. Springs are made for the chassis not the engine and trim set-up. So it doesn't matter if you have a 1.6ltr or 1.5ltr engine, it's all the same.

Bottoming out and being to soft are tow totally different things.

koni yellows and ground controls i hear from everyone is a good setup, not only for ride quailty but you have dampening and ride height adustablility. I want to do this setup I am just wondering what Konis warranty is on how low you can dump your car. I want to go with a 2.0" drop. Does anyone know?

Actually, there are different part numbers for the LX/DX and EX/Si. Check your sources. And you're saying an EX with disc brakes, 1.6 VTEC, power everything, weighs the same as a DX with none of that?
I know bottominging out and being soft are different things, hence I mentioned "not technically" since I wasn't sure on how to describe.
Anyways, thanks to those who offered their suggestions.
Any others?

if you don't have the money for the ground controls i recommend neuspeed race springs. I'm using neuspeed race springs (for a 92-95 civic even though my civic is a 97) and kyb agx shocks and love the setup.
The price shouldn't be an issue, I am trying to just get harder springs. I have heard good things on the GC's (similarly, the Skunk2) but not sure how the AGX's would hold up. You have any pics of your setup? thakns
