new ls/vtec swap wont start in 92 eg hatch
ok, it had an ls orgionally in a 92 si hatch. I'm not sure whether the guy who used to own it put an ls wiring harness or used the stock si harness. one problem is, when i go to start it up, the starter, the shaft thing will push out, but it wont spin the motor, so i check all the wiring , everything looks fine, i try again, it sticks back out but wont spin the motor, i still dont have the vtec wires hooked up yet.
i put a obd0 b16 top end on the ls bottom end, i used the obd1 injectors and ls throttle boddy. i have all the hoses and everything hookedup, somewhere i'm messedup on the wiring, and can some1 show me how to hook up the vtec?

ok, nevermind turns out the starter is bad, but how does it go bad? i took it off, 2 days later, i put it all back and it wont crank? I"m getting a new new starter tomorow, had 2 push start it. new problem now though,
the car is idling funny, not normal like it used 2, it hops from 1500-1300 up and down, at a constant rate.

did you over tighten the nut holding the main power? if you did u might of twisted the contacts inside the starter. try looking at those.
