LS swap into EG Si
i have a 92 EG Si hatch, completely stock under the hood. i was looking into buying an LS swap for it, but when i went to check out the motor, the wiring harness was cut right after where it relays to the ECU and goes underneath the dash. i was just wondering if there was a jumper harness made for this swap, and how i would go about getting one, or if i should just buy a separate LS harness for it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: LS swap into EG Si (slow92EGSi)
actually on my ls swapped hatch I just re-routed a few of the sensors on my factory wire harness. All sensor connections are the same unless you are going to be using a B18a where the thermoswitch is the two prong thing by the oil filter. in that case just wire it to that or get a b18b thermosensor that goes by the thermo stat either way will work.

wait, so it still has all the plug ins buy the strut tower? and is the harness thats cut is the one going to the ecu? if so you can use the harness that comes with the ls motor, that's just the way it sounded when i read it.

you can use your Si harness.
or just buy another obd1 ls harness. you can find them from 50-125 bux in the forsale sections of H-T and local junkyards.

Re: (Ecko93civic)
depends if the LS motor he's getting is obd1 or obd2.
if it's obd1 get an obd1 harness, obd2 get an obd2.
they both plug into the shock tower plugs, but
you won't have to mess with the distributor or alternator plugs with the right harness.

It seems like this guy is the only one who actually read the post.
Your civic(along with integras) have a 2 piece harness.
The engine harness only goes from the engine to the strut towers, where it plugs into the main harness. The main harness runs under the dash and to the ecu.
All you need for you swap is the engine harness, so it doesnt matter if the main harness(down by the ecu) is cut. And it also doesnt matter if its obd1 or obd2. Both engine harnesses will plug directly into your civics main harness.
Then plug in an obd1 LS ecu and your set.

Re: LS swap into EG Si (Slopoke)
i have a 93 ls that am building and want to swap it into my b16 eg hatch. i have the harness from the motor, so when i do the swap i just need to connect the harness to the motor and then plug it in the towers and plug in the ls ecu and im set? or will i have to do some sort of extra wiring?
