I have an OBDII engine harness and need to convert the plug to OBDI for the alternator- does anyone know which wires on the OBDI alt go to the wires on the OBDII harness?

you cant do it and keep the harnesses you have to hardwire it obd1 is 2 harness obd2 is 1
its mostly matching colors from both sides i dont remember the actual colors but i know that the whole thing is sheilded in a ground like a coax cable so you have to wid that up and solder it its been a while sorry i cant be more help

 

well two of the colours match up on the plug, the other two don't- I guess I'll try it one way and see if it works, if not then it must be the other...
