Mugen NZ Dampers
Does anyone here have experience with the Mugen NZ suspension kit?
Here is the description from King Motorsports:

I have the opportunity to purchase a lightly used set for about half of retail. For a similar price I could get custom valved Konis. I use my car for autocross, track days, and light street driving. Looking to get some opinions from people who have personal experience with the Mugen NZ setup. Thanks.

Do you know anybody who runs the Mugens?
I have only found one dude so far, and he was full of praise for them.

ausmith has the N1's and then NZ's should be even better. ask him about them.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I think Clayton had the NZ.
From my understanding, the NZ is more "street friendly" than N1. When looking at the Mugen catalog, the spring rates for NZ range from 16K to 22K in front, 6K to 14K in rear. For N1, the spring rates range from 16K to 28K front and rear.
So the N1 is valved much stiffer for race use only.

Any positive or negative comments from those who have experience with them, how they compare to other shocks that retail for $1500-2000 like the popular revalved Konis, any maintenance or durability issues, usefullness of range of adjustability, are they suitable for light street use or are they best left for competition only, etc. I have tried searching here and on other Honda boards but have not come up with much, other than the description on the King website, positive feedback from one owner, and some info from Ausmith. Coming from Mugen I'm sure they are quality shocks, but I just want to get all the information I can before I make a big purchase.

Nope, Clayton (H-T screen name Ausmith) has the NZ's. As Wai stated, the N1's a for stiffer spring rates. Give him an IM, he'd be happy to give you his impression of them.

N1 > NZ as far as handling rates.
Plus, NZ's don't really fit in the 1500-2000 range.
