Has anyone had any experience with the Mugen Sport susp. (not lowdowns) in autocross? I found nothing on the Mugen Sport setup with the search function.

P.S. I know that Zeal, JIC, and Tein might be a more track-oriented setup. However, I am asking about Mugens.

unfortunately Mugen does not make a Sport kit for the Integra, so he probably has a more hardcore suspension than what I'm looking at.

That's for the EP3 but the same is made for the RSX.

I seriously doubt anyone has tried them yet, but I see no reason why they would not work ok. If you plan to run the car at a national level I wouldn't get the Sport kit, but for locals it should be just fine. Pretty much everything Mugen is a good product (ignoring the price), so there would be no worries about them being crap IMO.

I think they're the same thing as the low downs, just a different name. They are not re-buildable so that would keep me away from them.

It is interesting that they have higher rear spring rates than front rate!

Apparently thats how the EPs are set up, even stock.

The spring rates aren't really all that much higher than stock. It looks to be more of a street system for people who just want the Mugen name, a drop and a little more control. No adjustment at all and it appears to be set up for ride quality. The spring rates, if I converted them right, are 207 lb/in front, 413 lb/in rear; Compared to Tein or Jic-Magic which are around 450lb/in front and 506 Jic)-560 lb/in (Tein) rear (RSX numbers) with adjustable dampers and height. I know the Teins are rebuildable, I'm not sure about the Jic-Magics, but they probably are too.
I don't question the quality of it at all, it just doesn't appear to be the best kit for the price if you plan on racing and want to fine tune the suspension the way you like it.

I have had the Mugen Sports Suspension on my '97 Civic for 3 months. I haven't had a chance to autocross in them yet, but I really like them. They don't lower the car much (~20-30 mm) and I didn't want my car lowered much. It's firmer than stock, but still very comfortable on the streets. Handling is like night and day compared with the stock dampers and springs that were previously on my car. These are the only aftermarket dampers/springs I have used, so I have no means for comparison. kengs on this board also has the Mugen Sports Suspension on his Civic and he wrote a review on it:

He calls them the "Lowdown," but trust me, they're the "Sports Suspension" because Mugen didn't make Lowdowns for the 96-00 Civics and the picture he shows in the thread look just like mine.
