Default Newb needs help:( Dist Cap

How do you know when you need a new cap and rotor? Could that be causing a fucked up idle?

its possible, but look for carbon trace under the cap. it is little white stuff kinda stuck to the terminals.

dont skimp on this kind of stuff(plugs, wires, dist & rotor caps) go get all of it new from the dealer, dont buy that autozone crap, OEM is the best for hondas, no matter what anyone says, peace.

I wouldn't go with OEM products for your ignition. Well I take that back, definately buy an OEM rotor. If it's in your budget I'd pick up a MSD SCI ignition system with the blaster coil and some msd wires. GREAT BUY! A much stronger spark and you'll actually have better gas millege because your spark is stronger and you'll utilize more of your fuel.

It was going up and down from 900-1200 when I would stop. I reset the ecu by pulling the + wire and even removing all the fuses under the cap in the engine bay. Now the idle is even worse and goes to 500 and drops below and feels like it is about to die.
