i want to get an s2k...but how can i get the cheapest insurance possible?
recently my car was rear ended by a lady...and really totalled. and i'm really thinking about getting an s2k, but two problems 1) i'm 20 and 2) its expensive being young, and a male. i have a clean *** record. but can anyone out there think of any ways or loopholes in insurance that would allow me to get it for a lot less than 275 a month (eastwood) i guess a lot of my friends have their parents insure the car under their names, then add on their kids. how would that work?
no one in hell my parents are going to buy me this...or help me do it. i mean, if i want this, like other **** in my life, i gotta work for it...i'm not a kid who's had a silver or platinum spoon in his mouth growin up

Hopefully your insurance agency was not involved but somehow they always find out about accidents. This may raise your rates eventhough you were not at fault. The best thing to do is shop around for rates, keep the deductable at $500, min. limits on liabilty etc. as you probably do not have many assets. Another option as you mensioned is have the S2k titled in your parents name, under their insurance. You do not have to list yourself on the policy as you just "borrow" the car. If your parents want to feel more comfortable have yourself listed as a household driver. This may raise the premium on all cars though. My ins. is through Allstate and we sit down with the agent and work out the best and cost effective policy.

I just got a s2000 and i am only 19. Insurance was 440 for me but what I did was list my dad as the primary driver, so the insurance guys did was give me my dads rae on the car and it dropped it down to 200. But it pays to shop around for sure. good luck!
sometimes a multi line or multicar policy can help....full time student good student discount mine is currently 250 with 4 tickets on a 2000 si for full coverage and i checked the s2000 and it was only 310 same policy...pretty nice....not to mention im only 20 i can get the s2000 as soon as my car sells but im thinking nsx for like 21000...insurance sucks

get a beater car (<$500), insure that then list the s2000 as a second car.
Eastwood??? AIS? Are you crazy?
My insurance is 730/YEAR with wawanesa with $500 deductibles + 100k level liabilities. It was 1130/yr with 21st century for the same coverage.
Wawanesa = awesome price, A+ rating, xlnt customer service. You should get your parents to switch even.
Other good ones:
AAA insurnace
Costco/American Express auto insurance.
Granted, i'm older than you but 245/mo is ridiculous.
