Default Simple BOV question...

This is the deal, im puttin a DSM T25 on my SOHC EG hatch..

should be alot of fun, im almost ready.. i made my downpipe, got the special fitting for the oil line, and just finished making my own custom "log style" manifold.

so this is my question, as for the blow off valve part of the set up, i found this cheapo BOV from the local turbo shop for 50 bucks.. they put pressure to it and it worked, but what exactly does the allen head, or bolt on the top of the valve do? controll pressure? how should it be adjusted? further down the faster response?

check out my blingin BOV.

It adjusts at how much VAC it'll open.

If you find that you have a vacuum leak from the bov you can adjust that **** thingy.

Actually I believe it just adjusts how sensitive the bov will be to open/close. Meaning when your at low boost if you have that **** set to a harder setting it won't blow off. I know my RFL is set to a pretty soft setting and even at like 1-2 psi I can hear it going off. Its not as loud as say 5-10 psi but it's still audible.

Yeah I see that too. I hope that was just for picture taking.

The **** is for adjusting the spring pressure on the diaphram. Tighter means higher pressure required to Blow off looser means possible leaky valve or very low pasi Blow-off. Basically, loosen it until you can hear it blow at full boost, then tighten it down a bit from there. It will then blow under any throttle release.
