Default Clicking sound in reverse......

I have a 1998 civic hatch with a manual transmission. When i shift into reverse and roll backwards, or accelerate backwards i hear a clicking noise coming from the front of the car that increases in frequency along with the cars speed. It does not make the noise in any other gear and does not do it when the clutch is partially engaged. if anyone could help to figure out whats wrong that would be great. Thanks!

I would say you have a bad reverse gear.

clicking usually goes along with bad bearings, but i dunno why it would only do it in reverse though. just my 2 cents
