Default All Motor Build Check List...

What else do I need for my new H22 build-up? For the motor only, not intake, exhaust, or tranny stuff.

I'm ordering the following new:

88mm 12.5:1 IB/Wiseco Pistons
ARP Head Studs
OEM Head Gasket
OEM Oil Pump
OEM Timing Belt
OEM Main Bearings
OEM Rod Bearings
OEM Rod Bolts
OEM Main Bolts
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket

I already have new:

Golden Eagle Block
OEM Water Pump & Gasket
Rear Main Seal
Manual Timing Belt Tensioner
Crower Stage 3 Camshafts, Springs, & Retainers
STR Cam Gears, Cam Seals, & Fuel Rail

Can you guys think of anything I might want to get?

I forgot I have a new oil pan gasket.

I thought about the Prodrive oil pump gear. I'm going to compare the price vs a new OEM assembly. How much are the Prodrive ones usually? $250?

Do those pistons come with wrist pins? What rods are you using? Are you going to have to reconfigure the stock rod wrist pin bushing for floating pins? What Block are you using? H22a, h22a1 or h22a4?

The compression ratio will end up being around 13:1 so I'll have to run 100 octane, which I can get a several gas stations around here.

I sold them awhile back.

Look at this!!!

OEM:
Head Gasket $55.88
Oil Pump $152.74
Timing Belt $38.84
Head Bolts (10) $8.19 = $81.90
Dowel Pin (2) $.80 = $1.60
Main Bearing (10) $8.89 = $88.90
Rod Bearings (8) $9.92 = $79.36
Rod Bolts (8) $3.66 = $29.28
Main Bolts (10) $6.80 = $68.00

Total = $596.50

Thats a lot more than I was thinking. That **** adds up quick!

Sure does! Im working on my build right now and the several little things that cost a little, but when you actually sit down and add it all up your spending more money than you thought...Im running a similar set up, but not as extreme

crower stage 2 cams
aem cam gears
dpr springs and retainers
polished combustion chamber
3 angle valve job
11:1 wiesco pistons standard bore

maybe euro r manifold when i figure out how much that will cost

When Im done Im gona take it to DPR and have it tuned on their new dyno

what about piston rings? are you using weisco?
another question, when you had the block resleeved,
did you send it in w/o pistons and just tell them to bore it to 88mm?
i thought you were supposed to send the pistons w/the block so
they can bore it to spec.

your gona proly tell me Im crazy, but DPR swears that the pistons they get specially made from Wiesco do not require sleeving. They have told me numerous times that the pistons skirts are made from a special frictionless material that will keep scoring from occuring. The only reason i was told by DPR PURE TUNING I should have to sleeve is if I bore out the stock sleeve too far past .25. The block I have now has 70k on it and does not have a scratch on the wall. A quick hone was performed to assure proper piston ring sealing. I repeat though the pistons have a frictionless coating. I would tell you exactly what it is if I remember what it was called, also the skirt is made from a special material similar to the type r piston skirts. Piston rings came with the pistons
