Default Chassis Flex Windshield Flex

On my EG Civic coupe, I have noticed water getting into the floorboard soaking the carpet. I pulled the capet back to find water pooled in the deep spots of the floorboard!!! After this I was critical of all the seals on the door and around it.

One day I was about to get out of the car while it was raining and the passenger got out before me. When she opened the door, I saw a drop of water fall from the windshield. I couldn't belive my windshield was leaking

On another day my g/f was driving caddy-corner over a speed bump and I put my fingers where the windshield meets the headliner and it flexed as we went over the bump!!! If it was able to flex like that then there was not alot holding the windshield on at that corner. I pushed on the top of it from the inside and the whole corner moved outward about 1/8th of an inch!!! The glue holding the windshield in failed and allowed it to seperate from the car.

Just thought I would share my experience and see if anyone else has had this problem. Also my suspension mods are tokico illuminas with obx coil over type springs, oem front sway bar, integra ls rear sway bar with teg lca's, front and rear upper strut bars and a 4 point lower tie bar.

Interesting stuff. I run very stiff springs and I keep cracking my windshield.

The obx springs aren't even stiff. When I'm not careful, I can hit the bumpstops on smooth rapid inclines.

I'm going to venture that this is not spring-related. I worked with a woman who had an EG hatchback and it was constantly leaking and getting moldy. Turned out that the windshield was never correctly sealed in the first place.

If your windshield has been replaced, then I'd go back and talk to the shop that did it and have them fix it.

Since it has been in my posession, it has never been changed. Thanks though

I made this thread simply for some reference if someone was searching for info b/c when I was searching, I really couldn't find any good info. Also if other people shared their experiences with it that would be good
