I recently installed power windows on my 2dr EG. I noticed after the install that there are gaps at the ends of the window glass and the bottom exterior weather stripping. I'm pretty sure I installed them fine and didn't bend the stripping.

The stripping is nice and tight against the glass until the last inch on each end. I also noticed in the bottom left and right corners there are what appear to be little drainage holes. Not really holes, but a gap for water from the factor.

I took my door pannels off and removed the plastic sheet which is glued to the door. I hate my friend spray water on the car with a very low pressure and I watched the water enter the inside of the door along those edges with the gaps and come down window rails and then drain out of bottom of the door.

I guess it would be fine when the plastic sheet is in there to seal so water doesn't actually go into the car but I was worried to find a little water collected on the speaker mount.

So is this noraml, did Honda design this so the water that does collect will drain out of the car via going in the door?

I don't think so but even if I did have a perfect seal with the weather stripping I would still have those drainage holes in the corner.

there are drainage holes in the bottom of the actual door too, i wouldnt be surprised if the water did run down into the door, could be why our window tracks go bad and need to be cleaned so often.

Hmm, sounds kinda ghetto. Most cars I am familiar with with those drainage holes have a tube in which the water flows through and then is deposited outside of the car somewhere. Well I'm just glad to know its not my weather stripping that is messed up.
