Default 91SI water leakage :O

ive researched common places for these old hondas to leak water but mostly all lead to rain leaking in from doors/sunroofs ect. my car has water puddle up in the floorboard (driver side front and back) when it rains but only if you drive in it so its not rain leaking in, i belive its water off the road surface but i cant find where exactly its leaking at. anyone know a way for me to check where if i pull the carpet out short of filling up my floorboards with a hose?

Door and window moldings....my hatch leaks in the back hatch too. In my 92 Prelude the window leaked at one time. Also depends if you have a sunroof because the drains can get clogged and back up. If you dont have a inside plastic fender cover, water can come in through the bottom of the door if the door seal is bad enough. Other than those things water cant get in unless you have a hole somewhere in the chassis.

i think its coming through to floorboards somewhere. no water is on the sides of the floor (carpeted area) only the flat bottom. also ALOT of dirt under the carpet (which is now mud.. )

Dry it out as fast as possible.....it'll smell like *** if you dont, or you'll risk mold growth. I meant my Prelude windshield was leaking, but that was just a experience I was sharing. I would say your heater core is leaking but you say it only happens when it rains and when you drive. Check under the car for any holes or rust spots. Other than that window and door seals are the only way water is getting in. And water is gonna go the path of least resistance so it can be coming in from one place and ending up in another......just something to have in mind.

Personal experience if its coming down to the floorboard it mightbe from the corners of the windshield where the gutters are, pull your a pillar molding off and look for where its running down, guarantee you hace cracks in the roof seam sealer, best of luck

look under the dash at the firewall by the steering column. puddles you drive over can splash up in the engine bay and some of those small holes in the firewall cal allow the water to get in under the carpet because the carpet may have no holes, but does the firewall? look in the engine bay for a hole with carpet over it. just my guess
