What do you guys think about my all motor plan? suggestions welcome
92 civic hb, 94 b18c1, injen intake, jdm dc 4-1, test pipe or a high flow cat, 2.5 custom exhaust w/dragunfire muffler, skunk2 manifold, skunk2 cams, itr or maybe portflow valvetrain, jdm itr pistons, vafc. well, what do you guys think? do you think i could run low 13s or maybe high 12s w/slicks? do you think its enough to beat a 94 gsr w/drag3 kit pushing about 8psi? thanks..suggestions welcome
Should be fast, the race\depends on who's running slicks.
For Skunk cams, I'd use Skunks v-train, though the ITR will do if you don't raise the redline significantly. The JDM springs are only slightly more expensive but are a tad bit stiffer. Don't forget gears (I doubt you did).

lose the vafc and get a hondata.... you need to raise your redline and remap your timing anyway. For hte pistons id go with p30s, jdm or usdm.

I agree you won't run 12's. If you don't want to spend the money on a hondata you can just get a msd 6al with a 9k plug in and just tune the fuel with the afc. I would also raise the comp. a little to either 12 or 12.5 .
this will be a street car so i think compression in the 12s will be too high for pump gas. hmm...
If you can pull out about 200whp with that set up maybe with a well worked head, ecu and tuning, plus shave some more weight off of the tiny hb, use a jdm itr tranny and some good skills Im sure 12's is not a problem with slicks. Try considering going .25 over the gsr block will be close to an LS block which is I believe at 1834cc compared to 1797cc.

JDM parts are nice for a noticable increase but if you want to make real power, go aftermarket i.e. Toda or Spoon. Here's my (fantasy) setup:
TODA spec c cams with gears (spec B's are impossible to tune)
TODA 11.2:1 pistons
Crower titanium valve springs and retainers (if you're hardcore, go valve stems too)
For real high revs, Crower billet rods
and yes, definately a hondata ecu. One problem though, you need to convert your car to an OBDI (not bad) but to be able to change air-fuel and record performance through the ecu you NEED the stage 4 setup. (I think it's $1100) this may be too expensive for you (it is for me, for now) but I thought I would throw in my $.02.

In my opinion you might be very dissapointed in the amount of $ you will have to spend to get the results your looking for. Dont do it. Just go turbo!
add:
cam gears
jdm itr pistons
clutch/flywheel
on slicks you should be able to hit 12's if you can drive

You'll want to have your compression around 11.5:1. There are lots of ways to do that. usdm itr pistons and shave your head 20 over. hondata, vafc, whatever, you'll need something to help dial in the a/f ratio. I recommend you get a chip with an extended rev limiter. If you're gonna rev beyond stock which I think you should do, get type r valvesprings.
I'm not a big fan of Toda cams. They're not impossible to tune, they are a pain in the *** to tune, and for the money and aggravation I don't feel its worth it.
The Skunk cams are good, you'll like. I got 10 hp all the way throughout the curve and 14 up top. The power is good and the idle is smooth. If you're looking for a good all out drag cam i'd go with a jun 3 set up. You'll need some portflow or jun valve springs for those definitely. they make great high end power. hope that helps.
