Default Turbo

I am need to cars. I want to either put in a turbo or put in nos. I heard a turbo would be better. I want to spend 2000 or under. I have a 1997 acoord ex 2.2L vtec, auto, hks CAI, DC 4-2-1 headers, and a venom 400. I heard a custom turbo is the best but i need help to put one together for my car. But if it cost more than 2000 i would want to go with a zex nirtous kit. Please i really need some help with this.

not to sounds harsh but you must learn how the stuff works before putting them on.

that zex nitrous kit will outcost the turbo kit in the long run...most people i know of say that they get tired of paying 35-45 bucks a week for nitrous refills real fast...i dunno, just keep that in mind...

ZEX came out with a wet kit not to long ago. So they offer both Dry/Wet.

HA! I'm lucky, n2o prices in Oklahoma aren't that expensive, YAY! I was paying about 20-25 per bottle on my old Accord. That one bottle could last me a week if not longer.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. Either way you look at it, in the long run or the short run, you're going to be spending more than $2k. Like iam7head said, sounds like you need to brush up on your basics before you start throwing **** on. try out http://www.howstuffworks.com, excellent site to learn.

you can always get a torque convertor for 300-400 i think that is how much they are, and then get a nitrous kit, that should make your car really fast, but turbo will also, hehe,

For one thing, good luck running a turbo on an auto tranny. If you did find a management system that would do well with an auto, you couldnt run much boost. And eventually, especially with more than 6 or 7 psi of boost, your tranny will go. Get a new car or a 5 spd conversion before getting a turbo. Plus, if your planning to run more than 8 psi, your gonna have to get forged pistons and rods or your engine will go also. Good luck.

A dry kit sprays only n2o into your motor. A wet kit has two types of solenoids, one for n20 and one for fuel and the two are mixed before being sprayed out together out of the nozzle. Running a wet kit is safer because you are gurranteed more fuel, unlike a dry kit, which has a greater possiblity of making your motor run lean.

Thanks. I am gonna read up on how the stuff works but the point about finding a good program for an auto tran is right. I can't find any good ones that let me change boost. I think i am going with a zex wet kit, also the purge, maxamizer kits with a fuel pump upgrader for about 1200.
