my drive home from work was fun.. i was messin around a lot.. redlining it on the freeway on ramps that kinda thing.. got home.. put some oil in cause it was sort of low.. then took off to get something to eat.. i tryed a 2nd gear pull.. everything was normal.. it hit vtec normally everything was pulling hard like usual then it cuts off at around 6.5-7k?? like its unloading on fuel or something it just cuts off... it still runs strong right now but its cutting off real early.. its a 2000 gsr by the way with nothing but an intake.. i was thinking maybe its throwing a code? but no CEL.. im thinking maybe my CEL bulb is burned out?? cause ive never seen it on.. is it supposed to come on like the first 2-3 seconds you start your car?? im gonna replace the bulb and see if it throws a code but does anyone know whats up??

 

If your CEL comes on for a few seconds right when you start your car, your bulb shouldn't be burned out. That's normal . You might try resetting your ECU and see if you still have the reduced redline. Sounds kinda funny considering you're not throwing any codes

it doesnt... the bulbs probably burned??

maybe if i put in a new bulb it will throw a code ??

im gonna go outside and switch it right now cause it hurts to think i cant rev up to 8200 haha

 

Ya definitely go switch the bulb out if you have a spare. Then you'll know what is actually going on. Any CEL's before this happened today?

haha idno i dont know how long the bulbs been burned out?? haha brb i got the bulb out and its fryed im gonna check it now.. BRB haha

 

ok.. so i replace the bulb... the light comes on when i start the car but then turns off.. so i decide to jump the wires to see if a code that was stored popped up... i jumped the wires and the CEL stays on.. but the ABS light is throwing different codes??? is that the light that you check the codes off of?? if so im throwing a 12 and a 81?? heeeeeeeeeeelp

 

12 = Exhaust Gas Recirculation System
Couldnt find 81 but 80 = Exhaust Gas Recirculation

does it matter if the ABS light is blinking the codes??
also i searched and people were saying that 94+ 5spd integras dont have EGR's??

so what could be making my car run in limp mode??

 

Your CEL is supposed to be blinking the codes
im not sure if the 94-95s have EGR i didnt even know any year had the heh you learn something new everyday

let me check my helms to see if they have EGR

 

so ive come to the point.. with the help of jason bouchard...that my abs is throwing the codes... so my next question is if anyone knows if the abs is faulty.. or not working.. does it cause the engine to run in limp mode??

 

im thinking its tune up related?? my cars at about 65k and i changed the plugs today it got a little better... im thinking something like cap and rotor maybe?? idno its still acting up and i took a couple vids so you can see how it wont rev up...PLEEEEASSSSSSSSSE helpppppppppp
