my setup is pretty much the same except 24.5x8x13 slicks w/ JDM LSD pulling 1.75 60fts thats leaving at 7000 RPMs w/12PSI on the slicks
Our shop sells the quaife for $880.00 and install them for $375.00 just to give you an idea.

yea it works really well, type-r lsd works just as good from what i've seen but doesn't have that lifetime warrenty.

Anyway:
00' civic si
quaife lsd
244whp 172wtrq
2600lbs w/ driver
100% stock suspension
factory michlen tires w/ 30k on them 195/55/15
used to do 2.4-2.7 on average before lsd, now my best was a 2.19 but i average 2.20-2.35. I still **** up every now and then and pull 2.3+, but thats once in a blue moon not every run like it used to be.

My suggestions, find a how-to pull the tranny yourself and save a bit of money! then take it to the shop to have the lsd put in!

Maybe you should try using a bigger set of slicks?

because the type R lsd cant handle that much torque...
and the quaife can. the quaife also has a life time warranty.

id say the qauife actually helps you more for when the wheels are going diff speeds then off the line lol turning...

Courtney (UglyAssCivic) runs 10s with an open diff and cuts 1.7-1.8s on 25" slicks. Same with Ron (60dash1).

Ive heard that you dont want to use a oem itr diff - they dont like to hold a ton of power. Your better off with an open diff for high hp applications.

Ive heard very good thigns about the Quaife. They are almost indestructible and come with a lifetime warrenty. They will warrenty the product under race conditions which is very awesome.

I have a Cusco LSD (clutch type) in my car - cant say much about it because i just put it in. But it looks to be of very good quality and very strong.

does that include new diff bearings pressed onto the new Quaife???????

I do ALOT of tranny work on the side for people, trying to figure out how much to charge. Since I don;t have a shop, I don't have the high overhead.

I usually charge about $25-30 hr, but I'm not a business YET!
