Nope, not a warranty item.

Your insurance should cover it -- check with your agent.

I have a dime-sized crack as well. My deductible is too high to cover it. Normally a new windsheild costs ~$200 installed, but I don't want anythi8ng other than OEM Honda glass because everything else fits like **** from my experience.

Yeah try to keep that glass at the same tempurature as much as you can. It'll start expanding. If it's not really that big, you could actually get it fixed. Most auto body shops do this "melt" thing to the glass that I guess fills in or smooths it out. I don't know if it looks like brand new after it's done. - but it would be worth looking in to.

Yeah, you might as well repair it. The whole windshield will probably crack beyond repair in a few years regardless of whether you get a new one or not. It's a wear item. If you can repair it it'll be good for a while. I've also heard that the windshield is a structural item and probably will never be as structurally sound as when it's first factory installed. A driving instructor I know won't instruct in a car with a replaced windshield. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but when you have an option it's something to consider.

The "fill" type of repair will still be visible. The main purpose of that is to keep a crack from spreading.

Is the damage in your line of sight? If so, you need to replace your windshield. Call your insurance company and ask them how to proceed.

my insurance fixed mine. Then Months later My moldings went lose and they couldn't fix it without taking the windshield out because it wasn't aligned they say. Anywayz they ended up breaking my windshield when they tried fixing iti so i gots a new windshield. You should call your insurance , i believe they fix those things for free mainly because they rather pay for minor cracks and prevent them from breaking because when they do . They will have to pay for it for sure. Hope this helps....

ps.. You can also do a search because I posted the same thing months back and i got some good responses i believe.

In florida, its a state law that your insurance has to replace your windshield for FREE and that you dont have to pay anything for it. Guess its some sort of safety issue, but i get a new windshield once a year hehe
