Default Ever had to replace your windshield?

Did you go with generic or like an OEM brand? What is the OEM brand that Honda uses? I have bb gun cracks in my windshield and I have to get it replaced for safety check and registration.

Also how much did you pay for your glass + installation?

My windshield was completey cracked and i think it came to about 200 for the new windshield + labor. I went to this place that tints windows (I didn't tint anything sorry). They did an ok job. It was done in an hour but the glue **** they use, he said not to take off for a day or something.

If you look around you can find a good price. I had mine done (cracked when I bought it) by a place that came to my house and did it in my driveway, and I've had no problems so far. Its going to be anywhere from 125-200 depending on what kind of deal you get, and your insurance might even cover it if its that good. Just make sure the place uses new glass..not some windshield they pulled from a junkyard.

I had mine replaced a few months ago. I paid my $50 deductible since my insurance covers broken glass. The place that did it though did a HORRIBLE job. I highly stressed to them "use an OEM windshield, and OEM seal" they said they did, but of course they didn't. I had my car painted previous to the windshield needing replaced, and when the guy painted my car, he lifted up the windshield seal, and painted under it as much as he could. But when the people replaced my windshield, the used a seal that was less than half the size of the OEM one, and it doesn't cover up to where my car was painted.

Also, because of the small seal they used, when it rains, my passenger side floor floods because it didn't seal properly.

So if any body in the Southwestern PA area needs a windshield replaced "DO NOT get it done by Legacy Auto Glass", they SUCK.

Well that's my rant for the day .

Cliff notes - make sure they at least use OEM seals.
