Default Suspension Techniques Sway Bar

I have a suspension techniques rear swaybar installed on my 94 accord. In the instructions it says to drill mounts, unless there are holes aready. There were holes already, since the directions are sorta generic, so I mounted it and everything was good. I came across the prolblem though that my exhaust lays on top of the bar. So when the car is warming up, backs up, or takes a hard left, it sounds like a helicopter cause it bounces up and down hitting the bar. Please HELP!!!!

That's your problem. The bar should be on top of the exhaust.

Even with the bar above the piping it might hit when its lifted in the air. The gap will widen when you drop your car. If you have bigger piping you can do what I did on my stock piping. I added some kind of foam padding to the bar and wrapped it with electric tape. You can also try heat wrap. It should take car of any rattles between the two.

This is funny cause it looks alot like my car (with the agx's in the back). I was already planning on trying heat wrap, i was just making sure i didnt make a stupid mistake about the install and was the only one with this problem. Thanks for your help.

you know what's funny about those directions, all accords have those holes its just that they are not used on a dx/lx. i have an ex and i drilled new holes anyways.

Well, did you notice the difference with the sway bars?

I have this sway bar, and I think that it was the best suspension mod that I've done. It corners much better, and feels much more neutral than before.

Sways are the best mod you can do with the best results. You will notice the difference right away. Have a set of ST swasys myself
